We conduct our online Secondary School tuition through our online teaching platform or Zoom.
With online tutoring, you’re able to learn math in a setting that is more comfortable for you than the classroom, and you have the flexibility of scheduling classes whenever you want!
We understand that some students have busy schedules or prefer to learn in the early morning or at night.

- Curricula offered – IGCSE, SAT, A/L, IB Mathematics
- The tutor will regularly consult parents and update them on their child’s progress every three months
- We mark and provide feedback on supplementary curriculum-related revision questions
- We provide students with access to recordings of classes
- We also provided access to volumes of past papers, tutorials, and revision sheets
Benefits
The main benefit of online classes is that you can access volumes of learning material at your fingertips! We provide recordings of our classes that you can re-watch, in addition to past papers and tutorials!
Your tutor will also patiently answer your questions, clarify doubts, and re-explain complex concepts. They will also ensure that you learn at your own pace and are not rushed. You will notice that this is unlike the speed of a large classroom, which usually moves quite quickly and has to cater to multiple students’ requirements.
The Talgo Advantage
Our classes are conducted by highly qualified and personable tutors who make mathematics relevant and relatable to students. We use interactive teaching methods and advanced software to enable effective online teaching.
Best Suited For
Our online Secondary School tutoring is best suited for students who prefer the flexibility of time and location. Similarly, students who want to access previous lessons and class recordings for reference might prefer online classes over in-person classes.
This type of tutoring is ideal for children of parents who have to travel and relocate for work. The benefit of online classes in these situations is that the tutor does not have to change and can provide some form of academic consistency to the student.
These classes are also ideal for gifted international students who want to learn ahead of their class and train for competitions such as Olympiads or hackathons.
Class Structure
Our online Secondary School tutoring caters to small groups of up to 3 students of a similar age group or siblings of different ages.
FAQs
Q: How will my answers be checked and marked by my tutor?
A: Your tutor will mark any questions or exercises you do during the class itself, in your presence, to explain where you might have gone wrong. We have installed easy-to-use software that enables you to upload a picture of your activity book. Instead, you could opt to do the question onscreen.
Q: Are you sure that the tutor will have the correct textbook/teaching material for my child?
A: Yes. Talgo Education has compiled a library of books, past papers, worksheets, and tutorials that extensively cover any syllabus or curriculum we teach. This archive is supplemented by our many years in the tutorial industry, teaching hundreds of different students. Our tutors use this archive to source only the most up-to-date teaching material.
Q. I don't have a credit card. How do I pay for classes?
A: Talgo Education is registered on Wise, so you can pay via bank transfer using USD, GBP, AUD or EUR. If you are based in Singapore, you can also make a bank transfer to our OCBC account or use PayNow.
Q. What equipment do I need for my online class?
A: You can use a laptop, tab, or mobile phone to log onto our classes. However, we do not usually recommend logging onto our live online classes using your phone if you have another option, as students find that the small screen can be limiting.
Q. My child has a learning difficulty. Are you still able to tutor them?
A: We completely understand your concerns and are fully sensitive to your child’s requirements. Please email us at savi@talgomath.com with the details of the learning difficulty, and we will try to match you with a tutor that can accommodate your child’s learning preferences and style.
Q. How do I know that my child's online classes are secure?
A: All our live classes are guided by a strict privacy policy. We only share recordings with the students of that class. We record lessons for the benefit of the students – it has proven quite beneficial for students to watch and re-learn from their previous classes.
